ARTS COUNCIL OF SAULT STE. MARIE & DISTRICT

************************* The Arts Council of Sault Ste. Marie & District, in association with the Algoma University Student Food Bank, is pleased to present the 3rd Annual Soo Zombie Walk!

A Zombie Walk is exactly what it sounds like: a large number of individuals dressed in full zombie gear and in full zombie character. On Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 4 p.m., the undead start gathering at the Grand Theatre, 641 Queen St. E., and will take over the downtown area.

In support of the Algoma University Student Food Bank, we are asking all participants of the Zombie Walk to bring at least a couple of canned food items.

We can't all eat brains for dinner!

Last year's event saw 200 participants.

The Soo Zombie Walk had a successful day full of blood, brains, fake skin, face-paint, and non-perishable food items.

Over 300 non-perishable food items were collected for the Algoma University Food Bank.

Not interested in being undead?

Then you can still enlist in the Zombie Resistance, which will be "hunting" zombies marked as participating in this interactive performance taking place during the walk.

Want to capture your undead self in a professional portrait?

Mark Primavera will be bringing his portable studio and providing Zombie Portraits to interested parties.

Eating brains doesn't improve your memory, so make it last on film.

You can also enlist as a Zombie Recruiter: gather a group of the undead to participate in the walk and food drive.
