Despite the warm weather of late, fall is in the air and on the trees.

The weather has taken a turn for the better in recent days with record breaking high temperatures Saturday and Sunday.

More than a few people took to the parks in and around Sault Ste. Marie this weekend.

Parking lots at Fort Creek Conservation Area and Kinsmen Park were full much of the weekend as people took to the trails to enjoy the warm weather, vibrant colours and good company of a holiday weekend.

Some wet, cooler weather is expected later in the week to put a damper on the summer-like conditions of late but, before the rain comes, SooToday.com brings you some images of local colour.

SooToday.com's Brad Coccimiglio shot most of the photos in our gallery below and loyal reader Ron Zeppa, owner of the wanderr, sent us some he shot while out on St. Mary's River.
