Despite being demolished last year to make way for the new home to Superior Heights, 2011 marked 50 years since Bawating Collegiate and Vocational School opened its doors to students.

Former Bawating students gathered over the weekend for a pair of gatherings at the Marconi Hall which included a meet-and-greet on Friday night and a dinner/dance on Saturday.

The Corn Maze was turned into a Bawating Braves logo in honour of the former school while some of the alumni had the opportunity to visit the site on Saturday afternoon.
