Natallie was in that blue truck with her boyfriend Mike when it rolled up against that telephone pole.

"I wanted to thank the three people who helped us that day," she said today. "If it hadn't been for them I don't know what would have happened to us."

She said that a man who was cutting his grass near by when the collision occurred dropped what he was doing and immediately ran to help.

Another man came too, and a woman who said she was a Red Cross volunteer.

"One of the men took his shirt off and put it down so I wouldn't get cut on the broken glass when they helped me out of the truck," Natallie said. "The woman stayed with us until the paramedics arrived."

The three were very helpful, reassuring and kind, said Natallie, who is from the GTA and is a student in Sault Ste. Marie.

"I don't know their names and a lot of what happened that day is still a little hard to remember but I remember how much they helped," she said.

Natallie and Mike want their helpers, friends and neighbours to know how much their help is appreciated as they recover from Saturday's collision.

Loyal SooToday.com reader John Grandinetti sent us the following photos.

He said he came upon the scene of this collision, but did not witness it, on the corner of Malabar and Willow Avenues.

He took the photos at about 12:30pm today while cycling to the Cambrian mall.
