************************* Important notices for Ontario Works recipients receiving payments by Canada Post

SAULT STE. MARIE, ON - Due to the pending Canada Post labour strike, Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Works will be distributing payment cheques for the month of June at the Sault Ste. Marie office located at the Social Services Building, 540 Albert Street East, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

Cheques will be handed out on June 1 and June 2 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. each day.

Recipients must bring identification in order to receive a payment cheque.

For those individuals receiving Ontario Works payments through direct deposit, payments will be deposited into your bank account as usual.

Income statements and June drug cards can be picked up on June 3 at the Social Services Building office.

Income reporting and changes to circumstances are still required and can be done by contacting your case manager and by submitting your income statement to the Social Services office in person.
