************************* Forest fire situation update - East Fire Region
August 24, 2010
It was another quiet day in the East Fire Region; only one new fire was reported today.
The forest fire hazard remains low.
Timmins Fire 48 is a small human caused fire at 0.1 ha located east of Timmins in the Godfrey Creek area.
This fire is classed as under control.
There are no concerns with this small fire.
More crews and personnel left for British Columbia today and more will be deployed as requests come in.

The number will operate north of the French and Mattawa rivers.
