The Upper Deck Lounge at the Knight's Inn/ Canadian Night Club is closed indefinitely after a serious fire that burned off the building's outdoor patio early today.

A representative of the Ontario Fire Marshall's Office will be arriving this afternoon to investigate. Firefighters were called to the scene at 3:30 a.m. and found most of the outdoor deck burning when they arrived with three pumper trucks.

No one was hurt.

Knight's Inn tenants had been removed prior to the arrival of firefighters.

Heat from the fire broke windows in the Upper Deck Lounge and firefighters expect there will be fire and smoke damage inside.

The bar downstairs may also have smoke damage.
