KISS refund details announced

************************* Staff at the Essar Centre and the City of Sault Ste. Marie are truly disappointed that KISS will not be making an appearance December 15, although [we] stand behind the decision to postpone and not to play in Sault Ste. Marie based solely on the current weather situation.

Our communication throughout the planning process with the band’s production team was extremely positive, without any doubt whatsoever that KISS could put on a major concert experience in our venue.

The Essar Centre - voted two years straight as one of Canada’s top venues for live touring under 8,000 capacity - has been very fortunate over the last four years to have been associated with some of the hottest and top-rated artists, including Motley Crue, John Mellencamp, Tom Cochrane, Hilary Duff, The Backstreet Boys, Barenaked Ladies, Sheryl Crow, Anne Murray, Gordon Lightfoot, Three Days Grace, Blue Rodeo, INXS, and The Tragically Hip, among many others.

The staff at the Essar Centre will continue and are committed to bringing acts to our community for all demographics to enjoy.

Please note that refunds will be available beginning Tuesday at 10 a.m. for those people who will not be able to attend the rescheduled KISS concert.

Refunds will be available at the Essar Centre box office by presenting the valid ticket.

Only the purchaser will be entitled to a refund and all tickets will be refunded exactly as purchased.

Those tickets purchased on-line or by phone can also receive a refund by calling 1-866-775-9422. Those who purchased through the KISS Army fan-club, including VIP ticket purchases, will receive an e-mail with full refund details.

These tickets will not be refunded through the Essar Centre.

At this time we do not have an official date - but are already communicating with the show’s promoter for various summer 2010 avails.
