Round 2 of the Rock 101 KISS battle of the bands competition drew another massive audience to the Canadian Night Club last evening as 10 Sault-area bands fought for a position in tonight's final showdown.

In order of appearance, those competing last night were Inside Spiral, Sense of Truth, Nixxon Dixxon, Bring the Fallen, the Billy Bastards, Lion Ride, Stillbroke, Wishbone, G'sis Murphy, and Middle of Nowhere.

Each band was given only two songs to prove to the judges that they have what it takes to open for KISS at the Eassar Centre on December 15.

The five chosen from last night's battle to compete in tonight's final round are Sense of Truth, Nixxon Dixxon, Lion Ride, Wishbone, and G'sis Murphy.

They'll join Round 1 winners, Stifler's Mom, Nebraska Arms, Flat Stanley, Blues Harvest, and Garden of Bedlam, tonight at the Canadian Night Club where the grand prize winner will be decided.

The winner of the competition will be awarded a 30-minute opening spot for KISS, 10 free tickets to the concert, and will have the opportunity to have their photo taken with KISS.

Tonight's competition begins at 9 p.m.

Admission is $4 at the door.

You must be 19 or older to attend.
