Thirty-nine years ago on this date, on March 27, 1970, the Concorde made its first supersonic flight.

For our insomniac readers, SooToday.com is offering up three videos of the supersonic transport that remained in service until October 2003.

The first is a British Airways tribute to Concorde, including footage of her inaugural flight.

The second shows a tragic Concorde accident in July 2000, in Gonesse France, in which all 100 passengers and nine crew members died, as well as four others on the ground.

The third video is a YouTube.com curiosity showing what some believe to be a UFO flying adjacent to an early Concorde fight in 1970.
