Mr. Maunu: 1952-2009

************************* Maunu, Richard Nels – Surrounded by his loving family at home, in his 57th year, on Saturday, February 7, 2009.

Beloved husband and soulmate of Lori, who faithfully nursed and supported him throughout his courageous battle with cancer.

Proud father and role model to Ryan Richard.

Son of the late Nels and Edna Maunu, brother to Diane Ricketson (John), Brenda Cochrane (Steve), Judy Trainor (John Potvin) and Gary Maunu (Nancy).

Son-in-law of Leo and Alice Nenonen, brother-in-law of Lisa Figures (Mike) and Michael Nenonen (Pina).

Many nieces and nephews will fondly remember Richard.

He was a dedicated teacher, passionate coach and friend to many making an impact on students and athletes throughout his 30-year career with the Algoma District School Board and the Huron Superior Catholic District School Board.

Friends may call at Zion Lutheran Church, 189 Upton Road, on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 2 p.m.
