************************ Drug charges laid

HIGHWAY 17, THESSALON TWP - On Tuesday May 8, 2007 members of the East Algoma – Thessalon OPP stopped a motor vehicle on Highway 17 in the Township of Thessalon.

George Ostapenko, 19, of Calgary, Alberta has been charged with:

- Possession of cannabis marijuana – under 30 grams under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

- Failure to comply with a sentence or disposition.

Andriy V. Plyusnin (20) of Calgary Alberta has been charged with:

- Possession of Cannabis Marijuana – under 30 grams under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

- Fail to comply with undertaking or recognizance (X3) under the Criminal Code of Canada.

Both are scheduled to appear in bail court in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario on Monday, May 14, 2007.
