Maputo, the capital city of Mozambique, was rattled early Thursday by a 7.5-magnitude earthquake.
Initial reports indicate tha quake could be felt as far away as Durban in South Africa and Harare in Zimbabwe.
One unconfirmed report on state radio indicates a building may have collapsed in the Mozambique port of Beira.
