20 pictures without even a whisker of ZZ Top

By David Helwig
Sunday, July 24, 2005

George Thorogood might be BBBBBad to the Bone, but he played and looked sweeter than a plate of yams when we photographed him at last night's big outdoor concert at Kewadin Casino.

Now if only they'd let us show you how great ZZ Top looked up there on the same stage.

Billy and Dusty and Frank had hardly finished their first number when suddenly there was a whole lot of Mushmouth Shoutin' directed at from the security detail.

We're always careful to respect the wishes of recording artists and venue owners at such events, but some signals obviously got crossed and we were swiftly hustled backstage where we learned that casino press credentials aren't nearly enough and you require Special Permission from the Band to take pictures of ZZ Top.

Billy and Dusty and Frank, we were told, claim Ownership Of All Images Depicting Their Likenesses and could we please produce every picture on our camera for inspection so their people could decide whether they liked them or not?

To make a long story short, we won't be showing you any shots of Beautiful Billy or Dapper Dusty or fine-looking Frank.

But we've posted lots of great snaps of Gorgeous George Thorogood and the Destroyers and their fans in the following image gallery.
