Parent gives $15,000 to new school campaign

St. Mary’s College graduate Dr. Michael Sebecic has made a generous donation to the As ONE Campaign.

Dr. Sebecic gave a personal donation of $15,000 to the campaign, which has been established to raise funds to enhance arts and athletics facilities at the new St. Mary’s College.

“I had a great experience when I went to St. Mary’s College. Teachers such as Harvey Barsanti, Larry Marsh and Loris Pecile, to name a few, had a profound effect on me. With my children attending the new SMC, I wanted to be part of helping to make the learning experience at the school the best possible,” said Sebecic.

“It is great to see our alumni supporting As ONE. It’s also tremendous that such a donation comes from a former student who found a way to express his appreciation of my approach to education and that of my peers,” said former SMC Principal and Alumni Co-Chair, Harvey Barsanti.

Dr. Sebecic is a member of the 1982 graduating class. 

His donation will be recognized with a street sign on the new St. Mary’s College property.
