This may not be news worthy but it made my day.

While shopping at one of our local grocery stores this evening I obviously got a little distracted and left my purse in the shopping cart after putting my things into my car.

Not to make any excuses but I have a newly licensed driver and my mind was on him doing things properly as I get a little nervous.

We pulled around the parking lot and were just about to pull on the street when I realized I did not have my purse.

We turned around and went back to where I had left my cart.

Sadly the cart was gone and so was my purse.

I went inside to ask if it had been returned, to which the reply was no.

The store I have to say was amazing, took my information, helped me search the isles of customers for my missing purse incase someone had it with them to turn in once completed their purchases.

All cashiers were given a description of the purse.

So I went home to say the least a little devastated.

My phone was in my purse, and as anyone knows a whole lot of pictures of my life.

No matter where you are there is that little camera on the phone to take that picture of your goofy kids but you get that memory forever or so I thought until it was gone.

The money, who cares.

The cards, replaceable.

When I got home, I called to cancel all my cards.

After dinner there was a knock on the door.

Upon opening the door my heart leapt.

There stood "Joe" holding my purse.

He waited until his wife came home before he opened the purse to get my ID and home address.

I cried then hugged the poor guy and thanked him repeatedly.

Everything was there.

My phone and wallet with money still inside.

The reason for my story is so often we see the crime stories stolen/break and enter I wanted to share a some good news.

There are still great people in this world of ours.

And I am so very grateful for having experienced the absolutely amazing act of kindness he gave me my pictures back.
