Male attempts break in at Thayer Lumber

Last evening just before 11 p.m., city police received a report of a male attempting to break into Thayer Lumber on Northland Road.

A male suspect was observed attempting to pry open the door but fled the scene.

The suspect was approximately 6 feet tall, approximately 180 pounds, was wearing a light blue toque, dark clothing and was carrying a packsack and crowbar.

Officers followed footprints in the snow and believe the suspect got into a vehicle and fled the area.
