Theft of cell phones leads to charges for forged documents

In the afternoon of October 22, 2014, patrol officers arrested and charged Delany Heslop-Williams, age 21 of Lafleur Street, Lasalle, Quebec with theft under $5,000.

It is alleged that he stole two cell phones from Wirelesswave at 293 Bay Street.

Further investigation revealed that Heslop-Williams was in possession of a stolen credit card, false identification and had used these items to obtain fraudulent credit.

He faces additional charges of false pretences, used forged documents and possession of property obtained by crime.

He will appear in bail court on October 23.
