SAULT STE MARIE FRATERNAL ORDER OF EAGLES

Sault Ste. Marie Fraternal Order of Eagles #3991 will welcome Eagles from throughout Eastern Canada for the F.O.E.’s Eastern Canada Regional Conference, which includes Quebec and Ontario membership.

The conference will take place on Saturday, September 20, at Aerie #3991, located at 246 Wellington Street West.

During the event, the Eagles will present Group Health Centre with a $5,000 grant from the Eagles’ Charity Foundation, as well as a $500 donation from Sault Ste. Marie Eagles #3991.

As Ontario Provincial Presidents for the 2014-2015 fraternal year, Tammey and Ray Artuso have selected the F.O.E.’s Robert Hansen Diabetes Fund as their President’s Charity.

The fund will receive donations of $500 from SSM Aerie #3991, $100 from SSM Auxiliary #3991, $100 from the Ontario Provincial Auxiliary and $100 from the Ontario Provincial Aerie.

In addition, proceeds from the weekend events will be contributed to the cause.

Tammey, a charter member of Sault Ste. Marie #3991, also serves as the Eagles’ Eastern Canada Regional Auxiliary President for the year.

Dignitaries expected to attend the conference include Grand Aerie Trustee Dave Smith, Grand Auxiliary Trustee Gloria Williams, F.O.E. Robert Hansen Diabetes Fund International Chairman Dan Sanders and Ontario Provincial Past Aerie President currently serving as Eastern Canada Regional Aerie President Jim Doyle of Sault Ste. Marie #3991.

Representing the city of Sault Ste. Marie will be councilor Ward One Steve Butland. 

Representing the Group Health Trust Fund will be Tony Barone and Megan Wigmore. 

Special presentations will be included to all the  F.O.E  Past Eastern Canada Regional Presidents.

The Sault Ste. Marie Eagles has maintained a presence in the community since 1981 and currently hosts more than 120 combined Aerie and Auxiliary members.
