Woman dies in collision on Highway 129

THESSALON – On Saturday July 19, 2014 at approximately 5:25 p.m., officers from the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 129 approximately 15 kilometers north of Highway 554. 

As a result of the collision both occupants were ejected from the sports utility vehicle. 

Both occupants of the vehicle were not wearing seatbelts.

The male occupant was flown to Sudbury Regional Hospital with major injuries. 

The female occupant of the vehicle, Sarah Boyle, age 25 of St. Joseph Island was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers from the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation (TTCI) were at scene assisting in the investigation which is still ongoing.
