SAULT STE. MARIE CITY POLICE SERVICE

On the 6th of July at approximately 12:15 a.m city police were called to Mac's Convenience Store at 655 Wellington St. West for an armed robbery.
Investigation revealed that a lone male entered the store, brandished a knife to the clerk and demanded money.
The male left on foot from the store with approximately $160 from the till.
Responding officers located the male on Lyons Avenue and he was subsequently arrested.
Charged with robbery and breach of probation is Gordon Leonard of Goulais Avenue.
He is now scheduled to appear in court on August 11 2014.
