8 a.m. update
CONISTON – On April 24, 2014 at approximately 8:40 a.m., officers from the Sudbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single vehicle collision on Highway 17 (Coniston area), City of Greater Sudbury.
Preliminary investigation revealed the eastbound pick-up truck left the roadway, rolled-over and struck a rock cut.
The 32-year-old female driver, from Coniston, suffered minor injuries.
Meanwhile, her 4-year-old son was ejected from the vehicle and suffered non-life threatening injuries.
They were admitted in hospital and are listed in stable condition.
The investigation is continuing and charges are pending.
Officers would like to remind everyone that it is important for children to be secured in the appropriate child restraint.

CONISTON – On April 24, 2014 at approximately 8:43 a.m., Sudbury Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.) responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 17 near Coniston, Ontario.
A four-year-old child has been transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Officers continue to investigate this collision.
One lane of traffic is now open.
