Hope the little one will be ok!

There is absolutely no excuse not to have your child in a properly installed car seat. There's places that'll give parents one for free and show them how to use it. Poor child now has to be the one to suffer for parent's mistake. Very sad, hope the child is okay.

This is an example of the stupidity of the self entitled who say it is only for a cash a grab when the police do seat belt checks or any kind of simple safety law enforcement. No need to wear a life jacket either when boating because it could save your life, but it would make it too easy for the police to find your body instead of using divers for days of searching.

Amen to that Frio!

Must have been a defective car seat, right? All children securely strapped into an approved car seat in the back seat of the car should be safe from such injuries. I hope charges are laid against the company responsible for this poor child's injuries. He could have been killed !

unfathomable how a child can be ejected from a vehicle, but kids do unbuckle themselves all the time. Seat belts should be a cash grab as well as any other driving infraction such as cell phone... which will reduce the tax burden from us tax payers.
bonnie&Clyde 4/25/2014 5:59:54 PM Report

It should be mandatory for patrolling officers to cover their wages with fines every day.....it will make the road safer and save 100's of millions or even a billion dollars per year. Maybe just maybe lowering taxes
Frio 4/26/2014 7:27:35 AM Report

@ hrh..Must have been a defective pickup too because "a single vehicle collision, pick-up truck left the roadway, rolled-over and struck a rock cut". Ongoing investigation points to a careless loose nut behind the steering wheel as probable cause resulting in charges.
