Van misses house by a few feet during collision on Albert (4 photos)

Tuesday, April 15, 2014   by: Kenneth Armstrong

Traffic was slowed on Albert Street at Dennis Street on Tuesday afternoon as fire, ambulance and police crews responded to a motorvehicle collision.

A minivan crashed through a metal fence on a corner property during the collision and stopped just feet away from the house.

Fire crews put up safety tape around the house while the scene was being investigated.

Police at the scene reported minor injuries to the people involved in both vehicles.

The driver's side of the minivan was impacted, while the front end of the car appeared to be damaged heavily.

Am I missing something here? All it says was that the van crashed through the fence... How was the car involved? Did they collide first?

When are they going to change the name of Albert St. to Take Your Chances Driving On This St. Ave? There are so many accidents on this street lately. What's going on there folks? Contrary to belief, a YELLOW light does NOT mean *GO FASTER*. Don't be in such a hurry to beat the light or to get where you're going. The final destination may not be exactly as you planned it. Slow down and be considerate and not so much in a rush. Save a life, be it yours or someone else's.

Vehicles running red lights in this City is far too common. Wake the F*%$ up SSM. Put down the Timmies, the Lap Dog, the texting (more people than you think) the Cell. It's driving. Not something you do while eating lunch.
