And one wonders why Canadians cross border shop.13 bucks a lure made in Korea , Thailand or Japan average wage 2 bucks a day if they are lucky and underage.
willoweep 3/11/2014 9:42:11 AM Report

according to this report
http://news.nationalpost.com/2011/07/18/prison-costs-soar-86-in-past-five-years/. It works out to about $300 a day to keep a prisoner in Jail.
So this guy instead of probation get's 6 months at a cost of $54.000 ,full dental, eyewear, haircuts etc etc etc his ass is covered .So either way WE are going to be paying !
crashed13 3/11/2014 9:44:22 AM Report

I hope Canadian Tire was also charged with theft for charging $750 for 60 fishing lures.
euroman 3/11/2014 10:05:57 AM Report

Hamguy 3/11/2014 10:31:55 AM Report

prison time is needed rem scared straight
StrictlyConfidential 3/11/2014 11:32:04 AM Report

The thief has bigger issues, making comments about the price of lures and put them all in jail is not the answer.
StrictlyConfidential 3/11/2014 11:37:50 AM Report

Thieves are everywhere, I wonder why?
StrictlyConfidential 3/11/2014 11:43:12 AM Report

It is cheaper to pay for the cost of probation instead of the root issues surrounding theft.

Somebody didn't teach him responsibility, honesty and respect..which includes paying for things.. Instead of more probation make him an organ donor so somebody else can make better use of the organs he's wasting by his lifestyle.
StrictlyConfidential 3/11/2014 1:40:29 PM Report

Until the community deals with the reasons why people steal, it will continue to happen and get worse.
guestwho 3/11/2014 2:49:54 PM Report

Wow! Twenty years old! He`s off to a flying start!
Hungry? Go to the soup kitchen, food bank, ask your neighbor etc. Do NOT steal!
Gurpy 3/11/2014 3:05:55 PM Report

strictlyconfidential
There is NEVER a valid excuse for stealing! I don`t give a S--t what the excuse is! There are food banks, a soup kitchen and help for anyone that wants it! They don`t want help! It`s too easy to continue doing what they do with little or no consequences! STOP making excuses for these individuals!
Battler213 3/11/2014 3:33:40 PM Report

Aww bleeding hearts show up. Let's change the problem why people steal.

Hey! I have an idea. We should just take all the drugs off the street! Make everyone better parents, and keep kids in school!. DAMN Why didn't anyone think of that first?

I could be a millionaire.
jojoe71 3/11/2014 5:50:25 PM Report
