ONTARIO PROVINCIAL POLICE
The driver of the motorized snow vehicle died as a result of the collision.
The male driver has been identified as Andrew Cameron (35) of Sault Ste. Marie.
A post mortem is scheduled for January 3, 2014 in Sault Ste. Marie.
Investigation revealed the motorized snow vehicle was travelling eastbound on the westbound side of the road.
The westbound motor vehicle and MSV met on the crest of a hill.
They both swerved to miss each other and then collided.
Alcohol was not a factor and there will be no charges in this incident.
OPP officers along with Searchmont First Response attended the scene.
The driver of the snow machine was transported to the hospital by air ambulance where he died as a result of his injuries.
The name is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
The investigation is being conducted by an OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigator.
