10:05 p.m. Update

Sheldon Keefe gave goaltender Matt Murray credit for his play as the team struggles to find ways to score. Ottawa coach Chris Byrne spoke highly of rookie Travis Konecny, who scored in the loss. For more details and coaches comments, check back later tonight for a full story.

9:30 p.m. Update

Jared McCann and Sergey Tolchinsky scored in the shootout to give the Greyhounds the 2-1 win. Blake Speers also shot for the Greyhounds against Philippe Trudeau. Matt Murray stopped Brenden Bell and Brett Gustavsen as the Ottawa shooters

Heading to a shootout at the Essar Centre but only after Matt Murray stops Joseph Blandisi on a breakaway in the final minute of play

Greyhounds back on the power play as Travis Konecny is off for high sticking

8:53 p.m. Update

Sergey Tolchinsky nearly gives the Greyhounds back the lead but hits the post stick side on Philippe Trudeau

8:50 p.m. Update

Ottawa wastes little time getting on the board as Travis Konecny and Ryan Van Stralen find themselves with a two-on-one in the Greyhounds zone. Van Stralen feeds Konecny going to the net, who proceeds to bat the puck, which was just off the ice, past Matt Murray to tie the game at one

8:28 p.m. Update

Greyhounds hold a 1-0 lead through 40 minutes while also holding a 24-16 edge in shots

8:25 p.m. Update

David Miller gets the Greyhounds on the board with 1:33 left in the period, one-timing a feed from behind the Ottawa net from Sergey Tolchinsky

8:20 p.m. Update

After getting minors during a scurmish that saw Patrick Watling and Joseph Blandisi fight follwoing the Karterud penalty, Alex Gudbranson and Jonathan Duchesne get their own chance to go though neither player gets a chance to land punches as the two fall early in the tilt

Greyhounds kill off a penalty to Jorgen Karterud....game scoreless with just over five minutes remaining in the second period

8:05 p.m. Update

Jacob Middleton to the penalty box for Ottawa and the Greyhounds are heading back to the power play just over seven minutes into the period

Greyhounds with a single shot as Ottawa kills the five-on-three off

Game heads into the first intermission scoreless. The Greyhounds, who have a 14-9 shot edge through 20 minutes, played the final 17 seconds of the period with a five-on-three man advantage and will carry over the advantage into the second period for 1:28

David Miller with a chance oin tight for the Greyhounds but hits the post stick side on  Philippe Trudeau with just under five minutes left in the opening period
