On the afternoon of November 27th officers from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Drug Unit along with members from the Crime Suppression Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Letcher Street.
Officers were also assisted by Police Service Dog Justice and his handler.
During the search officers located fentanyl patches, 2 grams of cocaine, 26 grams of marihuana, 3 grams of hash oil and a small amount of ecstasy.
The estimated street value of the drugs is $2,385.
Officers also located ammunition for a hand gun, a tactical baton, a digital scale and other drug paraphernalia.At the time of the search the owner was not home.
On the 29th of November just after 3 am the accused attended at the police station and turned himself in.
34-year old Richard Frederick Rogers of Letcher Street has been charged with one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking, 4 counts of possession of a controlled drug or substance and two counts of breaching a court order not to possess ammunition or weapons.
He will appear in bail court this morning.
