Gnomes appear at Parry Sound Water Treatment Plant - OPP seeks public assistance

(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – The West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call early Saturday morning to the Parry Sound Water Treatment Plant when a city worker walked up to 56 garden gnomes carefully placed in front of the Plant.

Gnomes are small human like creatures made of ceramic, stone or plastic.

Gnomes are typically found in gardens.

OPP have received reports over the last year of thefts of garden gnomes and could possibly link these gnomes to these thefts with your assistance.

As the investigation continues, police are seeking the public’s assistance to find the person(s) responsible.

Anyone with information relating to these gnomes is asked to contact Provincial Constable Aaron Jeffrey at 705-746-4225 or 1 888-310-1122.

Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1 800-222-8477 (TIPS), where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
