Start date is drawing closer

ECHO BAY, ON (August 6, 2013) – With a little more than a week to go until the start of this year’s Laird Fair, preparations are well underway to ensure that it will be another successful and exciting year out in Laird for all participants and attendees.

The Laird Fair, hosted by the North Shore Agricultural Society, is slated for the weekend of August 16-18 on the Laird Fairgrounds, located beside Laird International Raceway, about a 25-minute drive east of Sault Ste. Marie.

Attendees can expect a wide range of activities, events, concerts and special guests for all ages, and everyone is encouraged to pick themselves up a copy of the program that has recently gone into circulation, as well as check the program out online on both the Laird Fair website, or on our Facebook page, to check out all of this year’s exciting events and to keep checking for more exciting information and updates.

As the start of the Fair draws closer, individuals that are still interested in either becoming a vendor or a volunteer for the Fair are reminded to contact the Laird Fair Planning Committee as soon as possible to ensure your involvement as spaces are filling up.

About Laird Fair

The annual Laird Fair has been a tradition in Laird Township since the 1880s.

It is held every year during the third weekend of August, and includes events and activities that appeal to both newcomers and regulars of all ages including displays, horse shows, tractor pulls, and local bands and entertainment amongst many others.

Everyone is welcome to come out and take part either as a participant or an observer in all the festivities.
