A Maclean's summary places the Sault among the top third of "Canada's most dangerous cities" when it comes to crime.

"Considering the incidences of crime in our city, thought you might find this interesting," Dave writes. "We are now ranked 32nd out of 100 Canadian cities for worst crime rate in Canada. Most of the cities on this list are much bigger than SSM.

"Definitely not something to be proud of ... "

Meanwhile, last week MoneySense magazine unveiled its annual listing of "Canada's best places to live."

Those results ranked the Sault 108th among the 200 communities listed regardless of size.

In the small cities category, SSM sits 59th among 130 centres.
