Sault Police search for man wanted for sexual assault

Members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Criminal Investigations Division and Patrol Services Division are currently looking to arrest 27-year-old Jarrett Joseph Jocko for sexual assault, sexual interference and invitation to sexual touching.

It is alleged that around midnight on the 25th of August 2012, a lone female victim was walking in the area of Wellington Street East near Simpson Street. 

The female was approached by a male who was not known to her. 

The male engaged the victim in a conversation at first, and then the victim was taken to a nearby secluded area. 

Once in that area, the accused sexually assaulted the victim. 

As a result of the investigation, officers were able to identify Jarrett Joseph Jocko as the accused, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

If a member of the public observes Mr. Jocko they are advised to contact police immediately and not approach this male. 

Mr. Jocko is described as an Aboriginal male 5’11” tall with a thin build weighing approximately 180 lbs. 

He has dark black hair, brown eyes and a goatee.
