Dangerous crocodile dispatched in Kapuskasing

Crocodile located in Kapuskasing
 
KAPUSKASING, ON. – On the 16 June 2012, Kapuskasing OPP detachment officers were dispatched to a vacant lot on Government Rd., Kapuskasing, Ontario in regards to a dangerous animal complaint.
 
The officers attended the scene and observed a three-foot crocodile in the empty lot.
 
The crocodile was acting in an aggressive manner towards nearby pedestrians.
 
For the public’s safety, the animal was dispatched without incident.
 
Matter is still under investigation and police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating the animal’s owner.
