Gangplank Sault launches program to inspire, engage creatives

SAULT STE. MARIE - Tasty knowledge nuggets, delivered with collaborative sauce, wrapped up in a fun networking environment.

Collaborative workspace Gangplank Sault announces a series of free brown bag seminars, open to the public.

We find engaging topics, delivered by experts in the community over lunch.

These aren’t dull Powerpoint sessions.

Come prepared to interact in a small setting.

WHERE: Sault Community Career Centre, 503 Queen Street East (corner of Spring and Queen)

WHEN: Every Wednesday, starting May 9, 2012 from 12-1 p.m.

Gerry Kirk, Gangplank director said: “We can get stuck in the same old patterns of thinking. These brown bag sessions challenge the status quo, provide space to explore new ideas, connect with others. They tap into the collective knowledge in the community. This complements our physical space where people come together to get work done, where information spreads naturally in an open setting."

Upcoming topics:

May 9: Using Pinterest for Business

Nathan Smith, of Zynali Marketing Solutions, will be presenting about how you can leverage the fast growing Pinterest platform to grow your business.

Pinterest is the world’s fastest growing social network.

After this session, you will have a competent understanding about what Pinterest is, and specific strategies you can apply right away.

May 16: Are You Too Busy for Health?

You can busy yourself out of business, out of relationships, and even out of health.

Learn strategies from Candice Esposito of Algoma Natural Healing Clinic to find that elusive work-life balance for the sake of your health and find out why the “urge to improve” may be an obstacle to cure holding you back from achieving optimal wellness.

May 23: Collaboration Over Competition

Instead of battling for the same piece of the pie, discover how two competing Gangplank Chandler companies have learned that by helping each other they both win.

The brown bags are open to the public, free of charge.
