Easter holiday operations

SAULT STE. MARIE, ON - The following City facilities will be closed for the Easter Holiday-Good Friday, April 6 through Easter Monday, April 9.

• Civic Centre

• Social Services (Ontario Works, Social Housing, Community Child Care and Accessibility Office)

• Cemetery office

• Ermatinger-Clergue National Historic Site

• Seniors’ Centres (Drop-In and Steelton)

• Children’s Centres (Jessie Irving, Maycourt, Best Start-Holy Family site)

• Essar Centre office and box office

• Transit office

Community Centres

Essar Centre ice surface

Open for scheduled events on Good Friday, April 6, Easter Sunday, April 8 and Easter Monday, April 9.

John Rhodes Arena

Open for scheduled events on Friday, April 6 (adult skate noon-2 and public skating 2-3 p.m.).

Closed Easter Sunday, April 8.

Open Easter Monday, April 9.

McMeeken Centre

Closed Good Friday, April 6 and Easter Sunday, April 8.

Open Easter Monday, April 9.

John Rhodes Community Centre pool

Closed Good Friday, April 6 and Easter Sunday, April 8.

Open Saturday, April 7 and Monday, April 9 for regular swim programs and lessons.

Public library

All branches closed Good Friday, April 6, Easter Sunday, April 8 and Easter Monday, April 9.

All library branches open Saturday, April 7.

Refuse & Recycling Collection

No collection Good Friday, April 6: Friday’s collection will be picked up on Saturday, April 7.

No collection Easter Monday, April 9: Collection for the week of April 9 - 13 will be one day late.

Refuse and recyclables must be placed curbside by 7:30 a.m. to ensure pickup.

The landfill site will be closed Good Friday, April 6 and Easter Monday, April 9; however, it will be open Saturday, April 7 from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Transit Service

No regular transit or parabus service – Good Friday, April 6.

Regular weekend schedule for transit and parabus will resume Saturday, April 7 and Easter Sunday, April 8.

Regular weekday service will be provided on Easter Monday, April 9.

All parabus bookings for Saturday, April 7 to Tuesday, April 10 must be made by noon on Thursday, April 5.
