First Place - Best of Fair:

2.  Ontario Ministry of Research & Innovation – Stepping Stone Award:  
Second Entry to Canada-Wide Science Fair
Second Place - Best of Fair:
"Circadian Cycles of Angora Hamsters" by Corey Conforzi (Korah Collegiate)
 
3.  Benjamin Cohen Family Memorial Trophy:  $70 Cash Award
Third Place - Best of Fair:
"Salty Notion" by Jordan Winter (Anna McCrea)
 
Honourable Mentions:

First-place, second-place, and third-place winners in Best of Fair will all travel to the Canada-wide national competition being held May 12-19 in Charlottetown PEI.  Honourable mention projects may go if the primary winners cannot attend.

This year’s competition was our 25th annual science fair!
 
80 Projects Total:  
  • 49 Junior (Grades 7-8),  3 Intermediate (Grades 9-10),  28 Senior (Grades 11-12)
  • (Six of the Junior projects were in French)
  • 110 Students Total:  78 Junior,  3 Intermediate,  29 Senior
  • 12 schools represented, including 4 projects from Desbarats and Thessalon
  • 18 Judges (local scientists and technical professionals)
