And for the participants of the 2012 Budweiser CARHA Hockey World Cup, that trophy in the middle of all those lovely ladies is the Stanley Cup.

It was definitely the belle of the ball tonight during the closing dinner dance gala at the Essar Centre.

Faithful SooToday.com reader Adam Oprici wrote to let us know that earlier today, our own Soo Bruins won the 50+ division.
 
"They defeated Team Pelivaarit of Finland in the Championship Game 3-2 at Rankin Arena," said Oprici. "The Soo Bruins went undefeated in the tournament, playing against Team Bohuslan of Sweden, Team Fitchburg of USA, Team Canada 50, and Team OKK Evergreen of Finland."
