Seen today on Riverview Avenue (4 photos)

I have seen people send in photos of interesting wildlife before, and wanted to send these in case you found them as interesting as I did.

This morning my daughter said she saw a big eagle fly overhead and land in a tree just down the street from our house.

We live on Riverview Avenue, along the river.

She pointed to a large object in the tree.

I assumed it was a large squirrel nest of leaves as usually that is the only large thing in the trees around our house.

She squawked like a bird and sure enough the large thing in the tree turned its white head!

As we looked closer we saw there was another one a few branches up!

It was kind of hard to see them from our driveway and I was glad that we noticed them.

After I dropped her off at school, I was happy to see they were still there, so I found my camera and walked as close as I could get without going in the neighbours' yard.

Unfortunately, my camera didn't have the best zoom, but the pictures didn't turn out too bad.

As I walked closer I was surprised to see that two more eagles were on the other side of the same tree!

The neighbours' house and the numerous branches hindered me from getting a full shot of all four birds, but they are just beautiful and I wanted to share the sight with someone.

It would be interesting if anyone knew why there would be four in the same tree?

Do they normally hang out together?

Hunting fish in the river maybe?

Thanks.

Sincerely,

- Megan Cornwall ~ Loyal SooToday.com reader :)
