More than 50 employers and community agencies will participate in Sault College’s annual Job and Career Fair on Tuesday, February 14.

Open to students, graduates and the public, the free event runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the school’s Essar Hall.

Exhibitors will include college Employment Solutions staff who will provide one-stop access to services for job-seekers.

Some Sault College alumni will be on-hand to meet with attendees and share their experiences.

Wayne Thompson, a 1972 forestry grad, will be representing the Ministry of Natural Resources' Aviation, Forest Fire and Emergency operations.

And alumna Deidre Monaghan will be ready to talk about working in the wilderness lodge and outfitter business.

“Career fairs are a great opportunity for both students and employers to network and initiate communications that result in mutual gains in future employment relationships, regardless of what stage you are at in your career,” Monaghan says in a college news release.

This event is sponsored by the college’s Student Job Centre in partnership with Employment Solutions, the Students’ Union and the Algoma Workforce Investment Committee.
