New executive director appointed at Algoma Residential Community Hospice

SAULT STE. MARIE - The Board of Directors of ARCH is pleased to announce the appointment of Theresa Mudge as the next executive director of ARCH.

Theresa comes to ARCH from the Sault Area Hospital where, over a 10-year span, she has held a number of management positions.

Most recently, Theresa has been responsible for supervising the service, program and daily operations of the quality, risk management, decision support, patient relations, process improvement and planning departments.

Theresa holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Masters in Health Services Administration, both from Dalhousie University in Halifax.

She is a certified health executive accredited by the Canadian College of Health Leaders.

Theresa will begin her duties at ARCH in February 2012, and will succeed Helen Ross who is retiring after having served as the inaugural executive director. 

ARCH is a community based not-for-profit organization which provides holistic and compassionate end-of life residential care, at no cost, to residents and their families from Sault Ste Marie and the surrounding district.
