Sault Ste. Marie will be having its own version of the popular German celebration Oktoberfest. 

The Canadian Heritage Bushplane Centre will host the event from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday October 10.

Outspoken Brewing is proud to be the official brewery of Oktoberfest and have crafted a special brew to be debuted at the event.

Adhering to the traditions of Oktoberfest, the only brew consumed at the event will be beer made within city limits.

Additionally, local vendors will be serving up authentic German cuisine, including hot pretzels for sale.

Entertainment includes traditional polka music, a "best dressed" contest and Oktoberfest giveaways.

Tickets are $20 each and include an Oktoberfest 32 oz collector mug, and entry into the event.

They are available now at Dish Espresso Bar, Case’s Music, Outspoken Brewery, The Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre, and online at www.loplops.com.

You must be 19 or older to attend.
