There is an amazing opportunity this year to work with the renowned soprano, Jennie Such from Toronto.
 
She will be commuting to the Algoma Conservatory roughly every two weeks this season as part of the Conservatory’s guest instructor program.
 
She is a renowned teacher with the technical and musical skills to improve virtually any voice in a short time and enjoys working with children and adults, all styles of music and voices from beginning to advanced levels.

Everyone is welcome: adult beginners, choir members, musical theatre enthusiasts, singers in bands, shower Pavarottis, students at all levels. 

Private Sessions

Come and meet Jennie Such and enjoy a private session working with her.

There is no charge for the first session - but times are limited. Subsequent private sessions begin at $50. Email the Conservatory with your available dates and times.

Musical Theatre Workshop

11 to 19 years of age, Thursdays from 5:30 to 7 p.m. 

This course will incorporate scenes musicals in a workshop setting.

Exploration of the voice through vocal warm ups and theatre games will teach participants about stagecraft, projection, movement, and how to work together as a team.

The culminating project in February will be a presentation in a "cabaret" format for family and friends to enjoy.

Begins October 23 - 8 sessions - Tuition: $225

Jennie Such is one of Canada's most sought after sopranos and vocal coaches.

She starred in the acclaimed Mirvish production of "The Sound of Music" as Sister Sophia; has been the vocal coach for the Mirvish production of the musical "Billy Elliot; She was recently appointed as singing teacher at the Stratford Festival for the 13/14 season for the musicals The Man of La Mancha and Crazy for You.

She is a Lecturer in Applied Voice at The University of Western Ontario with a studio made up of both undergraduate and masters level students.

In addition she is active as a vocal adjudicator and was the adjudicator of the Sault Ste. Marie Music Festival last year.

Jennie also has had an extensive operatic career with major roles with the Canadian Opera Company, Vancouver Opera, Opera Atelier and Opera Ontario.

She has toured across Canada as well as to Europe and Korea and has several recordings.
