On the evening of Thursday, November 6, Lisa Vezeau-Allen invites her friends, family and the community to the launch of her new book, The Purple Notebook.

In her book, readers are enticed with adventures of motherhood and humour, in this descriptive tale of raising a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Being held at local art shop and coffee house, Shabby Motley Handcraft, the local writer and blogger welcomes everyone to a night of conversation and special readings of The Purple Notebook by the author and also by a very special guest, Lisa’s son Aidan.

Aidan, who the story is based upon, provides special quotes and notes throughout his mother’s book.

Some include highlights of daily routines, individual intuitiveness and of his dear fondness for the colour purple.

The Purple Notebook speaks of how one family learned to adapt their daily routines for a child with Autism, and how one mother learned how to keep it, relatively, all together.

Lisa leaves her audience with witty antidotes, heartwarming compassion and importantly an awareness and understanding of a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Her depiction on how one family responded when a child is diagnosed with Autism, is both endearing and insightful.

The Purple Notebook is published by Createspace and is also available for e-readers online at Amazon.com.
