Crue pops the Sault's rock & roll cherry (35 photos)

Rumour had it that Ratt was opening for Mötley Crüe Wednesday night at the Steelback Centre. There was no Ratt. Just the Crüe for almost two hours straight.

There was no Ratt.

Just the Crüe for almost two hours straight.

Rumour had it that the band was using a lot of sequencers and were not really playing their own instruments on this tour.

They certainly played their hearts out for us and from my vantage point I would have known had they not been actually playing.

Rumour had it that Tommy Lee would not be in the Sault for this show.

Tommy was definitely here much to the delight of every woman in the audience.

Vince Neil, Mick Mars, Nikki Sixx and of course Tommy Lee broke in the Steelback Centre right good with a rock and roll show the likes of which this city has not seen in quite some time.

The audience ranged from 10 to 60 years of age and the only disappointment came when the arena ran out of beer an hour into the show.

The Crüe's performance will be the talk of the town for weeks to come.

I'll shut up now because I know you came here only for the pictures.

What's next?
