Peacefully in palliative care at her daughter’s home in her 84th year on August 31, 2015. The only child of Ester and Onni Salo, Eva will be remembered for her peaceful manner and selfless ways. Her love to her dear parents and her own family was first and foremost in her life. Eva will be fondly remembered by her husband Oliver and daughters Nancy (Nick Huizing), Karen (Ron Wilson), her grandchildren Ryan Huizing (Sandra) and Aaron Huizing (Angela), and her sister-in-law Helen (late Milton Kalliojarvi). She held dearly her extended family and her wonderful friends, many of whom she diligently kept in touch with through the years. A funeral service with Pastor Brad Mittleholtz was held at the bedside, and a family memorial gathering will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions to the Ontario Finnish Resthome Foundation, Zion Lutheran Church or A.R.C.H. would be appreciated.
