JOHNS, Albert Ryder

Peacefully at Extendicare Van Daele Nursing Home on Saturday, July 25, 2015 in his 100th year. Beloved husband of the late Gertrude. Dear father of Wayne (Mary) and the late Glen (Caroline Hawson). Loving Grandpa of Michael, Amy (Brian Lawson) and Warren. Proud GG of Maggie and Alice Lawson. Albert served as an R.C.A.F. pilot during WWII. He spent his career at Algoma Steel in the Metallurgical Lab. Albert was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 25 for 70 years and was known as an avid outdoorsman. Family and friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm. Memorial service to follow in the chapel at 1:30 pm. Rev. Canon Earl Burke officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund would be appreciated.
