Hallberg, Leif

Passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at the Sault Area Hospital on Monday, July 20, 2015 in his 70th year. Leif is predeceased by his wife Dorothy Matthais. Loving father of Leslie (Samantha) Hallberg, Lillian Hallberg, Donna Hallberg and Michael (Denise) Hallberg, all of Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan. He will be dearly missed by his adoring grandchildren Felicia, Steven, Rodney, Riley, Brayden, Taylor, Crystal, Tristan, Dalton, Jessie, April and Dustin. Caring uncle to many nieces and nephews. Leif will also be missed by his many friends both in Sault Ste. Marie and Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Sault Area Hospital, Damignani Burial, Cremation & Transfer Service for their care and support during this difficult time and also J.E. Thomas Funeral Home in Saskatchewan for their assistance. Donations in Leif’s memory can be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society and would be appreciated by the family. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will follow in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan at a later date. The family is comforted in knowing that Leif in donating his organs has saved the lives of others after his passing.
