Passed away at the Sault Area Hospital on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at the age of 91.  Beloved wife of the late Wm. Verne C.  Merrifield.  Dear mother of the late Laurie Thomas (Bill), Bill Merrifield (Nancy) and Katy Merrifield.  Loving grandmother of Joel (Danielle), Jay, Becky, Justin, Melinda, Darlene and Jason.  Predeceased by her siblings Art Montgomery (Aileen), Marjorie Nott (Kearns) and her sisters-in-law Patricia Morden (Grant), Rose Toristo (Oliver) and brother-in-law Curtis Merrifield (Margaret).  Friends may call at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Patrick McManus officiating.  Interment at West Korah Cemetery.  Memorial donations to St. John’s Anglican Church or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. www.northwoodfuneral.com
