Zettler, Katherine Marie

January 30, 1937 – January 19, 2015 (Almost 78)

“Kay” Katherine Marie Zettler (Daynard), terrific mother to Zona Sauve (Norm), Ian Zettler, and the late John and Brad.  Grandmother to Scott, Rachelle, Melanie, Mitchell, David and Kathy and Great Grandma to Beckett and Declan.  Life partner to John Erickson and special aunt to many but particularly to Wanda, Rhonda, Rob and Tammy.  Dear sister to Audrey Archibald and the late Frances Roberts, Betty Moore, Laura King, Doug, Jack, Murray and Bruce Daynard.  Dear daughter of the late Cecil and Rachel Daynard.  Kay was always a very giving person.  Her quilt donations helped many different organizations over the years.  Her sense of humour was quirky but memorable and right to the end she always had a song to sing.  Many people will remember Kay from her days at “Lornies” and “The Curiosity Shop”.  She will be remembered fondly for her wonderful Christmas Village that she set up every year.  Funeral service will be held at the Beggs Funeral Home. Thessalon on Friday January 23, 2015 at 1 p.m.  Spring interment at Mountain Maple Grove Cemetery, St Joseph Island.  As a cook, caterer and restauranteur feeding people was important to Kay therefor the family requests that in lieu of flowers donations to your nearest foodbank would be appreciated.  Special thanks to the staff of the Thessalon Hospital for the wonderful care that Kay received.  www.beggsfh.com
