FREIBURGER, William 'Bill'

Suddenly at home after a brief illness on Wednesday, October 22, 2014.  Beloved husband of Norma (nee Zorzit) for 50 years.  Dearly loved and respected father of Johanna Freiburger (John DeVlugt) and Christine Alisat (Tom).  Bill is survived by siblings: Harold, Hilbert, Ralph, Rita, Margaret and Jean. Predeceased by his parents Herbert and Alfreida Freiburger and siblings: Jerry, Helen, Sister Mary Herbert, Bob, Claude, Laurine and Theresa. Bill will be missed by his friend and sister-in-law, Mary Zorzit, as well as his nephews and nieces.  Bill moved to the Soo from the Kitchener-Waterloo area in his twenties to begin a long and successful career as a general contractor—building over a thousand quality homes. For over four decades he worked long and hard and selflessly to earn the reputation of a well-respected contractor.  He took great pride in everything he did.  In his spare time he enjoyed his garden, reading and playing poker with the boys.  Friends may call at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Monday, October 27, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. until time of memorial service in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his honour to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.  www.northwoodfuneral.com
