Peacefully at the F.J. Davey home, on Saturday September 13th, 2014 in her 93rd year. Loving mother of Elaine Butt (Kurt), Madeline Helps (Charles) and Valerie DeLucia (Michele).  Grandmother of Joanne, Philip, Tim and Wendy, great-grandmother of James and Nikita.  Sister of Eric. Auntie to Deborah, Claire, Gideon, Jon and Jayne. Ellen is predeceased by her husband Harry and son Ian. Ellen will be sadly missed by all her family in England and all her “extra” daughters in England and Canada, including Sue, Anne, Betty, Pat and Marg. She will also be missed by her special friends Linda, Bob, Ross and Chuck, many other friends in England and Canada and her favourite dog Snow. Ellen was a ray of sunshine in the lives of all who knew her, appreciated every small kindness and always looked on the bright side of life. A private funeral service was held at St. Luke’s Cathedral on Saturday September 20th and will be followed by a memorial service in England on October 30th. For those who wish, memorial   donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society would be appreciated.
